In (or with) the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Hello and peace be upon you,

We are so excited to bring you our second annual Faith Talks! Based off of Ted Talks, Faith Talks brings you a night of enlightening conversations and broadened perspectives. Our theme this year is "Journeys, Growth and Challenges", focusing on each of our personal journeys with faith.

We will begin the night at 5:00 with a dinner and facilitated table conversations - make sure to be there by 5 to be guaranteed food! Then we will introduce our speakers, each representing one of the major religions of the world, to share their own narriatives. This will be followed by a Q&A panel, so bring your questions!

Given the current political climate, it is more necessary than ever to build bridges, get to know our neighbors of different backgrounds and identities, and move past stereotypes and generalizations. Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, and religious bias have increased exponentially this past year, and thrive off of ignorance and fear. Sometimes the best way to counter hate is simply to humanize each other, and that is exactly what Faith Talks aims to do.

“For the first time in world history, it is impossible for any one religion to exist in splendid isolation and ignore the others…discussion with the other religions is actually essential to survival, necessary for the sake of peace in the world.” - Hans Kung
